Our Sweet Orange essential oil comes from organically-cultivated orange fruit in Brazil and is extracted from the ripe peel only by mechanical pressing.

Sweet orange oil is known to have antibacterial, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. Added at a safe dosage (see below: How to use) to a base cream or suitable carrier oil such as sweet almond, this wonderful, fresh oil can help restore a healthy glow to pasty and oily complexions and may also help to improve the appearance of skin affected by cellulite.

100% pure and organic Citrus aurantium dulcis / sinensis (Sweet Orange) essential oil. No additives. No solvents used in extraction.

Precautions:

Sweet orange is one of the safest essential oils. However, sensitization is still possible in some individuals. We recommend a sensitivity test (dilute the essential oil in a cream or carrier oil first) before using any new skincare preparation. As with virtually all essential oils it should not be used neat on the skin nor taken internally.

When handling essential oils, take care not to get the oils on your skin or in your eyes. If you do, rinse immediately with cold water for several minutes. Keep the individual oils and the mixture out of reach of young children and pets and away from open flames.

Tip:

Because it has such a ‘’sunny‘’, uplifting aroma, Sweet Orange combines well with many other essential oils such as bergamot, pine-grove, eucalyptus, frankincense, geranium, lavender, neroli, patchouli, sandalwood and also ylang-ylang. How to use:

1) In a diffuser: add 3 to 4 drops of the above mixture to the diffuser and let it diffuser for 30 to 60 minutes in the room

2) In a sauna: 3 to 4 drops on the hot stones once per 30 minute session.

3) In a bath: first, in a glass bowl, add 5 - 20 drops of sweet orange essential oil to a dessertspoon of base oil such sweet almond or to a bath oil, or shower gel and mix well. Fill the bath with hot water and then add the mixture. Before getting into the bath circulate the water to thoroughly disperse the oil.

4) For use on the skin, such as a perfume or for massage: dilute the mixture in a base oil, such as sweet almond oil (for massage) or MCT oil (for perfume): Use at a dosage of 1%-2%. For example, 99ml base oil and 1ml (25 drops) or 2ml (50 drops) sweet orange essential oil.
